When Edward J Snowden made public about government surveillance on each and every citizen, the customers around the world became very sceptic about their personal information and privacy details leaked out. During the same time many customers got worried and have raised concerns with their mobile set provider. It was no different for Apple and its world famous iPhone devices. People rushed to Timothy D Cook with queries and fears about losing their privacy.
Apple is not an ordinary company and its is world famous for its devices varying from iPhone to tabs iPads. It has put in all measure to not allow any one to break in to customer’s privacy. But after the federal court has ordered company to allow the United states government to hack into iPhone of one of the gunner in San Bernardino, California mass shooting incident, the leadership of Apple had to take a stance.
On Tuesday Cook CEO of Apple had denied to comply with the court order and has took the fight public with a letter to customers that he has personally signed accepting to provide foolproof security to customers data and privacy. At this time world is surprised by the aggressive stance that Cook has taken and many are expressing solidarity.
Every one is amazed with the tough stance taken by Tim Cook by opposing the court order at a time when the world most valuable company and its iconic handset iPhone growth has seen considerable amount of deceleration. Though many are criticising Cook for being at loggerheads with the government and risking Apple.
Tim Cook whom everyone knows that he will not back down from his stance, said that it is important for Apple to do things “because they’re just and right.” Don Logan former chairman of Time Warner Cable who has been friends with Cook since he became chief executive of Apple said that Cook “says what he believes, especially in difficult situations,”. Cook knows that its a very complex and difficult situation but he always believes in doing the right thing.
At shareholders meeting cook said it is important for Apple to do things “because they’re just and right.” And to government he wrote that “Compromising the security of our personal information can ultimately put our personal safety at risk. That is why encryption has become so important to all of us.
